Is this same for you all ?????đ
I know that I should post something interesting here. But I’m not sure whether my corona diary is very much interesting.đ¤
But, I’m very sure my pre-corona diary is sooo much interesting. Don’t be afraid.đI’m not going to jump out of the topic. But, I’d like to tell you something about my pre-corona life. It was neither calm, quite nor peaceful. It was full of work,,,then again work,,,then suddenly jumping into travel and adventure. I think I should not explain my weekdays to you. Every day I wake up at seven and run for my lectures. Yes, my lectures are at eight. Thanks to the best transportation service on earth,đ I am on time for the lectures. Then, I start working, then again and again working. At last Friday is there, I plan instant trips with my better half.đ Saturday morning is there, we pack up some stuff and get on the bike for a long long ride. Believe me sometime its’s 500km. So, that was how I spent my pre corona life. I went on hiking, beech walks, waterfall exploring and many more, week after week and that is my passion.đ
And now, here comes my corona diary. I get up at 9 a.m. and sleep at about 11 p.m. Ironically I don’t know whether it’s Monday which I hated the most or Saturday which I loved the most.đđĢ But, I’m pretty sure it’s full of love and happiness. Yes, I miss my better half.đ But, still I have the best family ever with me.đ¨đŠđ§đĻđ§ During my primary school days, I felt that sun shine is brighter when Appachchi is at home. I experience it now. He used to leave home at 5.45 a.m. each day and returns at 9 p.m. sometimes, it’s 10p.m. Nangi is at her hostel, I’m at my hostel. Amma and malli waits until one of us return. So now, finally we all are together at home. We spend our day in the garden somedays. We burn the slash, we turn the soil, we make new vegetable beds on somedays.đą
But every day is not the same. Some days we chat all day long drinking about 5 teas per day. Most of the mid days are spent in front of the TV. Do you know the positive point there? All of us are in front of the TV. First, we start quarrelling to choose the channel to watch. Whether it’s SIRASA, DERANA or RUPAVAHINI. At last somebody wins, but everybody enjoys the show. Some other days are spent on cooking and eating. But, now we are controlling our food pattern, thanks to corona.
Oh.. I forgot to tell you all about my curfew life. Give me a round of applause because this is my 14th day under continuous curfew.
Curfew life in a highly corona susceptible area is not that easy.đ Most of the people who are doing so called white color jobs are engaged in home gardening today. Some of them are like real farmers now. So, I think corona exposed the hidden farmer in every one of us. Here, in Colombo I see how corona has affected equally on everyone of us. No any differentiation between the rich or the poor. I see people who are trying to find their daily wages as well as people who cannot access their huge bank accounts. Both parties are at trouble when the vegetable lorry comes because no one has money in hand. People who have already established home gardens are the winners of the battle for food.
Even though my corona diary is not very much turbulent, as my pre corona diary, I 'm sure I’m happy and satisfied. But, each day I worry twice. First, at 7.30 p.m. when I’m watching NEWS on TV. Number of deaths, number of infected persons, number of silly but irresponsible mistakes of my fellow Sri Lankans increase day by day. Those irresponsible acts push the corona free diary away day by day. Secondly, I worry when I’m trying to sleep. The uncertainty about my future drags my sleep away from me.đ Every target I had with myself, with my family as well as all the plans I had with my better half are now postponed. Is this same for you all????????????????
