Epiphany
Hello everyone,
I wanna tell you a story, a story about you, me and the entire world....
so here I start with a day to day experience of mine.
Last night I started watching a movie on my mobile phone, and suddenly I find there's a feature on my phone that can load external subtitle files. I have used my phone for one and half years approximately, I have made thousands of calls, hundreds of documents ,and I have never known there was that feature which I took by surprise. And that way I won't know some of it's features even when I move on to another phone after few more years. And I come to think that people are the same, sometimes we live our whole life without knowing ourselves properly. We don't emphasize on little things in life, which turns out to be the most important in ways we don't imagine.
Covid19 is a disaster that shook whole world of course. But thinking in a positive way it's the time to rethink, rebuild and recover while staying safe at home.
There might be millions of things you haven't noticed about yourself, your surroundings and nature, while living the hectic busy life you lived. So this time you’re staying at home can be the time of self realization. Realising your strengths and weaknesses and making an effort to be a better version of yourself.
If you're complaining or feeling bad about staying home. Think of the days you had to get ready at five am, ran to catch the bus, had schedules in the mind even when you return, and days you stayed up all night to complete the dozens of work before deadlines and prayed for a proper break in life, A time to be with your parents, children, spouse....a time to return home.
So whoever you’re, whatever you’re doing, pause for a while. Go to the yard or the veranda, take a deep breath and listen to the chirping of birds or the sound of rustling leaves, feel the fresh air and think how you have lived all this time, what you have missed, what you didn’t have time for....
What can you do while staying indoors?
HAVE SOME FAMILY TIME
It's the best time to reunite with your parents and children, since you're at home 24/7. Do some fun games with them, get into interesting conversations, cook with them and also don't forget to hold a movie night together.
PLAY WITH YOUR PETS
It's the time to make your pets happy, who must have been lonely and sad without you. Cuddle and play with your pets, which is good for them and also you. Make their special dish and watch how they enjoy it.
CALL YOUR OLD FRIENDS
Call your long lost friends, school friends, college friends and also co-workers. There was a time you wanted to contact them but didn't have time for a healthy conversation right? Now is the best time to renew those long lost friendships of yours.
WRITE A DIARY
Have a lot of things going on in your mind? Take a diary/ book and start writing about your day, what you did, what you felt and about anything you want to add. This will ease your mind and will help you remember moments of life.
LISTEN TO MUSIC, MEDITATE AND DO YOGA, EXERCISE
Everyone loves listening to music right? Of course every single person has their favourite genre in music, favourite singer, favourite album etc. So why don't you spend some of this free time to listen to those ?
Meditation can be one of the best things you choose to do while staying indoors that will make you a better person in many ways.
Do yoga and exercise cause that will keep you healthier during this self quarantine period, reducing the risk of diabetes, obesity, cholesterol levels etc.
DISCOVER YOUR INNER ARTIST
Most of people have an inner artist and they don't even know it. So in this free time you have got, write, sing, draw and dance....try whatever you want. Maybe you're talented in the ways noone ever expected.
These are the few of things you can do while you're staying safe at home.
Think of this self quarantine time as an opportunity. Think positive and stay positive.
It's the time of social distancing, but also it's the time of reuniting with family and friends while staying indoors.
It's the time you discover the purpose of your life; The time you understand yourself , your family and your loved ones.
I will stop here with a quote I found on "weverse" which touched my heart,
"It's the most pessimistic times teach us to be optimistic and hopeful "
